BEVAR 1000FRYD! (ENGLISH BELOW)

Vi har fået påbud fra kommunen om, at vi ikke længere må spille højt til koncerter - i praksis vil vi ikke længere kunne spille livemusik, hvilket er grundlaget for vores driftstøtte og eksistens.

Nabobygningen er opført med utilstrækkelig lydisolering, og under byggeriet advarede vi om, at det kunne føre til problemer, og det er nu gået i opfyldelse.

We have received a request from the municipality, stating that we can no longer play loud music at concerts - this means in practice that we can no longer play livemusic, which is the bedrock of our existence.

The neighboring apartments have bad sound isolation, which is something we warned about, when they constructed it.

We want to save 1000fryd, because it is full of history and it contributes greatly to the cultural life in Aalborg.

Tung crusted hardcore møder en omgang punk i bedste stil. Drain the Sky fra det amerikanske spiller dyster hardcore, som det kendes fra His Hero is gone og Trategy. Som x-His hero is gone er der da også lagt i ovnen til store sager. Tungt og lige i fjæset. Cross Stiched Eyes er blandt andet med folk fra Subhumans og kunne såmænd godt være udgivet på Crass Records i de glade firser anarkopunk dage i det engelske. Folk med en svaghed for Flux of Pink Indians, Rudimentary Peni og såmænd Crass selv kan godt stille op i køen!

"Drain the Sky formed during September 2005, in Oakland, CA. Memphis and Bay Area veterans collaborate to create visceral, atmospheric, threatening music that seeks to collapse (musical and other) boundaries. Members are George Wunderlich - Guitar/Vocals, Carl Auge - Bass/Vocals, Jason Willer - Drums/Vocals. The name is derived from a passage in William Faulkner's 'The Hamlet.'

‘Haunted by Rivers’ is Drain the Sky’s first full length LP, released by Level Plane Records. It is a human endeavor in which one passes through nine gates of exploration, traversing between inward and outward introspection. Dante-an in its quest from exploration, through cataclysm, to realization, these nine takes on the introverted human spirit to the extroversion of mass effectuation transport with fluidity, movement, and time, like a river, the human spirit to its being, from the beginning of one’s search (birth) through the experience of isolation, fear, and loss (suffrage) to affirmation (understanding) where one returns to a familiar place with a different perspective. Hence the title, ‘Haunted by Rivers’ initiates the search in the beginning and returns to something familiar at the end."
