BEVAR 1000FRYD! (ENGLISH BELOW)

SAVE 1000FRYD!

We have received a request from the municipality, stating that we can no longer play loud music at concerts - this means in practice that we can no longer play livemusic, which is the bedrock of our existence.

The neighboring apartments have bad sound isolation, which is something we warned about, when they constructed it.

Moments

Throughout the past 40 years, many people have had personal and shared experiences at 1000fryd!

We want to save 1000fryd, because it is full of history and it contributes greatly to the cultural life in Aalborg.

Forsalgsbillet: Tryk her!

Singer/songwriter/accordionist/novelist Geoff Berner ’s music combines klezmer (for the uninitiated, the folk music of Eastern European Jews), punk, political satire, and Balkan dance rhythms. He writes sharp, literate songs that make you want to weep, laugh, grind your teeth, or kick out a window – often all at the same time.

Geoff Burner is a veteran traversing Europe and exploding out of his musical suitcase with a show of spirited Eastern European and Gypsy music, tied up with a punk charm and a twisted spell of experimentation and madness.

Berner has built a serious cult following throughout North America and Europe by touring relentlessly through thousands of bars, cafés, and festivals. With his weirdly compelling stage presence, he has a strange ability to create fun chaos. He describes his typical audience members as “odd, bookish people who like to drink. There’s a surprising number of physicists.”

His music hypnotises; sending the crowd crazed, chaotic, and full of laughter and drunken dancing. In the words of the great Hunter S. Thompson, an evening spent inside Berner’s music is “a wild combination of menace, madness, and genius… fragmented coherence that wreaks havoc on the mind of any listener.”

Dusty Awe is getting ready for 2016... With new old stories to tell and old new members aswell. Now, a trio, Dusty Awe's sound has become larger than ever before - and a whole new decade of anti/death-folk punk awaits as Dusty Awe celebrates a 10th year anniversary of performing.
