Has a Shadow is a band formed by Victor Garay and Daniel Marciano. After being involved in other musical projects together, they started recording as a duo un 2012 during a short period of time while they both lived in the city of Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco in Mexico.
The band name was inspired by the phrase “Everything is attacted to a shadow” from the book “Anti-Oedipus” by Deleuze & Guattari honoring a series of events that led them to form the band. As an echo of the past, Has a Shadow is the lament of our consciousness. It the sound that keeps awake those who dare to stare at sorrow at night. However, if we let them take us by the hand, we will face the beauty that produces the first ray of sunlight that cuts between the solitude of the dark.
Their first full LP was released by Captcha Records on 2013 and their second LP by Fuzz Club Records in 2017, plus they have released two self-produced EPs.
They have toured Mexico along bands like LA Witch, Tau and Lorelle Meets the Obsolete with appearances at Corona Capital and House of Vans, the US on two occasions with appearances at LEVITATION, Altar Psych Rock Fest, Milwaukee Psych Fest and Psycho Las Vegas and Europe for the Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia.

Rýk består af 4 drenge, der hver især stammer fra Aalborgs undergrundsmiljø. Musikken tager plads i melankolske toner og 90'ernes shoegaze følelse. Det handler om stor lyd, intensitet og nerve, hvor Rýk formår at skabe en følelse af noget flot og skrøbeligt. De melodiske guitarer, følsomme vokaler, den rungende bas og eksplosive trommer, er med til at skabe en lydmur der behager lytteren og som sætter musikken det sted hvor den er vigtigst.
