Trader is a Danish rock band from Aarhus, Denmark, formed in January 2019. The band’s sound is characterized by an honest and straight-forward attitude, and the listening experience has been described as seeing a fight in slow-motion due to the hard-hitting, yet drawling energy. The sound is raw yet sincere and filled with noisy guitars and catchy melodies, and the music is related to artists/bands such as Dinosaur Jr, Alex G and Pavement. The lyrics deal with love and friendship from a personal perspective.
The band consists of Anders Ahle on guitar/vocal, Anders Rothmann on guitar, Kristian Vissing on drums/vocal and Joakim Møller Johnsen on bass. The release of the band’s debut EP, “Trader EP” resulted in a support gig for Fontaines DC, a concert at SPOT Festival 2019 and a signing with Copenhagen-based indie label Part Time Records. In collaboration with Part Time Records, Trader released their debut album Social Life in the fall of 2020, which was well-received by numerous magazines and blogs.
Furthermore, the single “Ghost Town” gained a lot of airplay on Danish broadcast station P6 Beat. The band has also gained attention due to their strong live performances. As of latest, Soundvenue reviewed their concert at Uhørt Festival 2020 as one of the best concerts of the festival.
The band has since the release of “Social Life” spent their time writing new songs for their follow-up album, which will be recorded in June 2021 and is expected to be released in the fall of 2022.
Litashepa is a progressive rock band based in the northern part of Denmark, in Aalborg. Taking their name from an East European mountain God, the band is composed of Vincent Stead, Magnus Damkier, Malthe Mikkelsen and Chris Gaden. Litashepa is an experimental band, incorporating elements from a diverse set of genres – from blues rock, psychedelic rock, punk- and surf rock. They don't hold themselves down! The band introduced themselves to Aalborg with their first ever gig at 1000Fryd, playing as the opening act for Canadian post-punk band, Whimm, to great success. Shortly after the world went into lockdown as the corona virus pandemic swept the continent. Litashepa, considering their limited options, decided to put their focus and resources into recording their current repertoire of songs. The band recruited award-winning producer Martin Krarup Olesen (Mix AA) to produce the EP "Trickster's Choices", resulting in the release of three singles as a lead up to the EP's release.
