LYSBÆRER
A peculiar blend of melancholy, darkness, grandiosity, and cosmic chaos defines the universe of Lysbaerer. The work “I: Som et lys i natten, må vi alle finde frelse..” ("I: As light at night, we must all find salvation...") is the first part of a trilogy exploring the journey between life and death. It delves into themes of fear, mistrust, and farewell, all intertwined in massive walls of sound. The music is crafted with the intention to process emotions and fight battles, both internal and external, expressed in lyrics and echoed in the music.

Lysbaerer is is a duo comprised of Jamie de la Sencerie and Thomas Mascagni. The band was formed with a desire for creative freedom to compose the music that inspires them. Described as post-black metal, Lysbaerer aims for the intense edge of black metal while pushing beyond the classical black metal sound. Influenced by bands like Wiegedood, Wolves In The Throne Room, Groza, Panopticon, Ellende, and White Ward.

"I: Som et lys i natten, må vi alle finde frelse.." has been mixed and mastered by Christoffer Hildebrandt, and the cover artwork is created by Simon Kofoed. Jamie handles guitar, synth and bass, while Thomas contributes guitar, writes drums, and provides vocals for the aforementioned work. Lysbaerer operates with a do-it-yourself mindset, aided by individuals with close connections to the band. As a duo forming the core of the band, a live lineup has been established to bring the music to life.
