When a group of Toronto-based friends begin to question the sustainability of their diets, they challenge filmmaker Yasi Gerami to investigate the impact of their eating choices. Her global journey uncovers hidden truths about the environmental and social consequences of modern food systems. Sustenance unpacks common myths about plant-based diets, ethical eating, industrial agriculture, and food politics, while inviting viewers to rethink what it truly means to eat sustainably and to reconnect with the Earth’s natural balance.
