BEVAR 1000FRYD! (ENGLISH BELOW)

SAVE 1000FRYD!

We have received a request from the municipality, stating that we can no longer play loud music at concerts - this means in practice that we can no longer play livemusic, which is the bedrock of our existence.

The neighboring apartments have bad sound isolation, which is something we warned about, when they constructed it.

There is a signature campaign here - https://www.skrivunder.net/bevar_1000fryd

Moments

Throughout the past 40 years, many people have had personal and shared experiences at 1000fryd!

We want to save 1000fryd, because it is full of history and it contributes greatly to the cultural life in Aalborg.

Let it burn (us) + Music mafia (dk)

I couldn't think of a better band to get the party started than the Music Mafia. Five friendly looking chaps from Copenhagen: Drums, bass, guitar, Hammond organ and a lead-singer that reminded me of a young Steffen Brandt. Nice hair-do mate! And they rocked like shit. Starting out really mellow with the organ as the dominant instrument and the Danish lyric this reminded me of Alrune Rod. I'm sure these guys are familiar with a lot of old Danish hippie prog rock bands from the 70s, cuz even though they soon kicked into a more Blues Explosion and the Hives kinda gear, they never seized to have this politically concerned hippie feel to them. Of course the super political left wing lyrics all in Danish helped in that respect, but the Music Mafia never came across as the next big, happening rock'n'roll experience. This was good solid political punk rock like nothing I've ever heard before and it was great! They have one 7" out and an album is coming out on Helicopter records. I think maybe that latter is a co-production with the band or something. I'll let you know when I know. I for one look so much forward to hearing it cuz I'm sure it's a shitkicker!
