BEVAR 1000FRYD! (ENGLISH BELOW)

Vi har fået påbud fra kommunen om, at vi ikke længere må spille højt til koncerter - i praksis vil vi ikke længere kunne spille livemusik, hvilket er grundlaget for vores driftstøtte og eksistens.

Nabobygningen er opført med utilstrækkelig lydisolering, og under byggeriet advarede vi om, at det kunne føre til problemer, og det er nu gået i opfyldelse.

We have received a request from the municipality, stating that we can no longer play loud music at concerts - this means in practice that we can no longer play livemusic, which is the bedrock of our existence.

The neighboring apartments have bad sound isolation, which is something we warned about, when they constructed it.

Throughout the past 40 years, many people have had personal and shared experiences at 1000fryd!

We want to save 1000fryd, because it is full of history and it contributes greatly to the cultural life in Aalborg.

Forsalgsbillet: Tryk her!

Man tror det næsten ikke, men det er sandt! Legendariske ZU er tilbage! Syv lange år er gået siden de sidst gæstede 1000Fryd i fornemt selskab med Joe Lally fra Fugazi!

Efter tre år i dvale og en afsked med deres trommeslager er ZU endelig klar igen. Og hvilket tilbagevenden, den nye trommeslager er ingen ringere end Gabe Serbian fra det lige så legendariske amerikanske synt/new wave/grincore band The Locust!

Zu smider alle snævre genredefinationer af sig, nedlægger alle grænser mellem stilarter og begrænsende forestillinger om, hvordan noiserock eller freejazz kan fremføres. ZU er en voldsom lydmur af instrumental Nowave metal, funknoise , hardcorepunk, freejazz og improvisations mathrock, alt sammen klemt ned i en trio af massiv lyd!

Musikken er instrumental med virtuose trommer, voldsom basføring og distorted saxofon. Tilsammen giver det en massiv lydmur af experimental freenoise/math/no-wave/metalpunk, som vil presse dig mod gulvet.

Oxx repræsenter Århus på smukkeste vis med deres egne ord... "Oxx is a three piece band from Aarhus who combines the fast and complex with the slow and open. In the midst of claustrophopic structures and free improvisation vocals, saxophone, scorching guitars and aggressive drums creates an atmosphere of intensity where the search for new musical expression is always present."

Zu defies genres, destroys boundaries and categories about what a rock or jazz combo is and how it behaves. No-wave, funk , hardcore-punk, jazz , and mathematics held together in an instrumental 3-piece.

Zu, the Roman metal/math/no-wave/free noise/punk/jazz trio, is perhaps best known as a band who have had an unbelievable line-up of recording partners which includes The Stooges’ Steve Mackay, Fugazi’s Joe Lally and Guy Picciotto, Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, Can’s Damo Suzuki, jazz masters Ken Vandermark and Mats Gustafsson, percussionists Han Bennink and Hamid Drake, improvisationalist Eugene Chadbourne and the like-minded Nobukazu Takemura. And the latest record features contributions from both Mike Patton and The Melvins’ King Buzzo.
